The Emporium Hotel is Brisbane's first true luxury boutique property. Established in 2007 the property presents a tangible vision of contemporary elegance and hospitality. This boutique hotel offers individual customised service at all levels to ensure all customers have an exquisite experience each time they walk through the Emporium’s opulent doors. The ambiance and sophistication of the Emporium Hotel , flows through their 102 luxury guest suites, eclectic cocktail lounge, contemporary function centre and gourmet Belle Époque patisserie.

Due to their commitment, passion and team approach to create exquisite stays the Emporium Hotel has dominated industry and travel awards since opening. The Emporium Hotel has won three consecutive national HM awards, with the most recent “Best Boutique Hotel” award. The hotel has also been awarded with Best Luxury Accommodation, Queensland Tourism in 2008 and 2009, as well as Best Small Luxury Hotel Australia, Gourmet Traveller Travel Awards 2009 and 2010. With this recognition the Emporium Hotel is one of the most awarded hotels in Australia.

Challenge

The Emporium Hotel needed a complete Point of Sale solution that would manage the Cocktail Bar, Patisserie, In- Suite dining and In-Suite mini bar. An important requirement was to seamlessly integrate with their existing Property Management System to provide customers the convenience of linking all their spending within the Emporium Hotel venues to their accommodation bill.

The Emporium Hotel required a system that was fast, efficient, increased customer service and increased revenue. The Emporium Hotel also identified that integrated handheld portable ordering devices were integral to providing quality customer service and were looking for a vendor that offered superior handheld functionality. In addition the Emporium Hotel wished to take advantage of the latest Tablet technology to provide state of the art efficiencies with in-room mini bar stock control, replenishment and customer billing.

Solution

Fedelta Point of Sale provided the Emporium Hotel with a complete Point of Sale solution that fulfilled all their requirements. This included;

  • Point of Sale terminals to manage the front of house operations in the:
  • Cocktail bar
  • In-Suite dining/Functions
  • Belle Époque Patisserie
  • Portable Ordering devices for the Cocktail Bar.
  • Integrated Tablets for their Mini Bars allowing real-time stock control and customer billing.
  • Full Property management integration including room-charging facilities allowing all guests purchases to be directly transferred to their accommodation bill.
  • Portable Data Terminal (PDT) stock control for stock management for all venues within the hotel, greatly streamlining the process and increasing stock accuracy.
  • Sophisticated Back Office functionality including complete management of pricing, stock control, compliance and auditing, and powerful easy to use reporting.
